Haryana Higher Education Department sealed due to corona cases

Recently, Higher Education Department of Haryana has taken U-turn with its previous order of promotion of final year students without exams. DHE has issued new notification to all universities of Haryana to conduct final year exams. Now, DHE itself is in the grip of corona pandemic and its some offices have been sealed due to increase in number of confirmed corona cases in the office premises.

In a notice dated 18 August 2020, director general of higher education has ordered that “Due to increase in number of confirmed corona cases in the office premises, the office room/branches i.e. situated on Ground and First floor, in the office of Director General Higher Education will remain closed till 21 August. During this period of closure, the staff will work from home”.

It is an embarrassing situation to the department because Students are continuously raising pandemic issue but DHE has ordered to conduct exams. Following order, IGU and CBLU have issued date sheet of final year students. The strange thing is that universities will conduct offline exams.

However, Supreme Court will give verdict on final year exams after two days and complete scenario about exams will be clear after verdict.
