Haryana
students are waiting to appear in final year exam after notice from Higher
Education Department. Now Some Universities have issued rules and guidelines
about examination. Here is a complete view of necessary software/setting that
students must know about that.
For
appearing online exam you can use any one of the following devices.
Smartphone
with front camera
Laptop
with webcam and enabled microphone
Desktop
with webcam and enabled microphone or earphone
As
sources, exams will be conducted through google meet. Therefore it is essential
to have latest version of Google Chromo. University has recommended to use android
devices because of compatibility issues exist in iOs devices.
Google
chromo setting : - You need to allow Google chromo to use
camera and microphone. This is mandatory without which you will not be able to attempt
exam.
· Smartphone user can go to Setting
> Applications > Google chromo > Permissions > Allow permission for
Camera and Microphone
Window
user can do it in setting options .

Turn
off notifications in apps and browser popups to avoid
distractions and exam terminations.
· Smartphone users can go to
setting > applications > select the app > notifications > turn off
all notifications.
· You have to turn off
notifications from all apps that could possibility distract you during exam –
such as whatsapp, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Telegram and other apps

Inform all family and friends to
not call you during the exam hours,
· Please note that notification and
incoming calls would be considered as warning alerts and may cause termination
of exam.
Internet
Speed : Mostly there is need of a 3G or 4G
connection to join Google Meet meeting. If you are in remote areas or such
place there could be low network then first check your network speed through
link https://www.speedtest.net/. The maximum
usage will be 2 GB internet for complete exam. If your speed according to above
website is 512 kbps or more, there is no need to worry about internet network.
For
Descriptive Mode, Student should have Adobe Scan
or Microsoft office lens in his/her smartphone to create pdf of sheets. Please
use youtube to know about making pdf by scanning.
